We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a vital role in assessing the cost and feasibility of projects.

Your expertise in estimating costs, analysing drawings and specifications, and conducting site visits will contribute to the successful restoration and preservation of some high profile heritage sites.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed cost analysis and estimation for heritage construction projects, including material, labour, and equipment costs.
• Review architectural plans, drawings, and specifications to accurately assess project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and timely estimation.
• Visit project sites to gather relevant information and assess site conditions for accurate cost estimation.
• Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and construction techniques relevant to heritage restoration and preservation.
• Prepare and present accurate cost estimates and bids to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably with a focus on heritage restoration projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating software and tools.
• Familiarity with historical building codes, regulations, and preservation practices.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret and analyse architectural plans and specifications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Professional certification or membership in relevant industry associations is a plus.

90% of the work we carry out is within historical buildings including but not limited to Museums, Art Galleries, Theatres and listed residential properties.

The works mainly comprise of fit outs/ refurbishments, exhibitions, external repairs, redecorations and general building works.

£40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
