  • Herefordshire Council is responsible for the enforcement of the onstreet parking restrictions throughout Herefordshire and also its offstreet car parks. We are looking to appoint a parttime enthusiastic, selfmotivated and committed Civil Enforcement Officer to join our friendly parking team on an annualised hour's basis.

The post holder will be required to work a varying number of hours each week (averaging 15 hours per week) in order to provide cover as and when required.

The hours worked will vary and include weekends, days and evenings.

You will carry out high visibility patrols across the county enforcing parking regulations by way of issuing Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles contravening the parking regulations and carrying out routine disabled persons blue badge checks.

You will need to be able to communicate effectively with people and have the ability and confidence to deal effectively with confrontation.

The role involves the post holder patrolling on foot for most of the working day outside in all weather conditions.

As the role involves enforcement across the county you will need to be able to travel independently throughout Herefordshire.
