We seek a Operations Team Leader with an FMCG background to work in this premium employer in Kettering.

The person we seek has a proactive and dynamic personality, an organised mind and real attention to detail in providing accurate and timely delivery.


Responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the weekly supply chain activities are completed to time across the team
  • Provide technical and expert support to the team in the delivery of their responsibilities
  • Manage performance of individual team members
  • Delivers onboarding of new clients into agreed operational processes
  • Identify opportunities for process and performance improvement
  • Ensure that the team are compliant with time recording and workflow systems
  • Work with the Head of Operations to provide effective leadership of the operations team.

Team Leader Responsibilities:

  • To effectively lead, engage and manage a small team of Supply Chain Co-Ordinators and Analysts
  • To proactively support the team's learning and development both technically and commercially.
  • To manage the performance of the team members through setting objectives, monitoring, and reviewing progress and completion of monthly one to one staff assessment.
  • To effectively manage absence and performance issues within the team.
  • Provides encouragement to team members, including identifying areas for new training/upskilling
  • Assisting management with hiring processes and new team member training
  • Assisting the management with identifying succession planning within the Team
  • To Support the Head of Department and to perform management duties when the HOD is absent or out of the office as and when required.
  • Conducts Team Meetings to update employees on best practices and continuing expectations
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workloads to ensure personal and departmental deadlines are adhered to
  • Review performance against the framework and ensure regular communication with your team to facilitate feedback and manage expectations.
  • Ensure all timesheets are submitted on time and accurate
