Description

Our client based on the outskirts of Salisbury seeking an experienced Extrusion Line Operator to join their busy and friendly production team.

The job purpose is to plan and use experience for production to maximise the output from all machines. Ensure maximum 'up time' through planned and reactive maintenance. Be able to work independently and as part of a team.


Production

  • Change tooling as required and set up production following the schedule
  • Meet all output levels and targets
  • Complete all quality control / traceability paperwork and records
  • Consistently maintain quality of product
  • Setup product printing to match customer /product requirements

Maintenance

  • Report any breakdowns / maintenance issues to the production manager
  • Take preventative steps to avoid failures
  • Remove and clean the tooling and screws
  • Clean and maintain the in line printer
  • Drain, clean and refill the water system
  • Maintain a clean and organised production area

Materials & Spare Part

  • Store materials & spares appropriately and tidily
  • Ensure extruder hoppers are constantly replenished
  • Reduce waste and poor consumption
  • Report low stocks of raw materials or spares to the production manager
  • Assist in maintaining inventory

Quality, Health and Safety

  • Maintain all daily records accurately
  • Highlight any resolve product quality issues
  • Follow ISO procedures
  • Observe all H&S guidelines
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement Practises

Teamwork

  • Develop strong, positive role within the company
  • Support all company operations
  • Demonstrate a "Can do" attitude
  • Communicate clearly and concisely contributing to team efforts across operations
