The key duties for the role are:
- Managing the Housekeeping team to complete all Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly tasks set to a high standard
- Regular cleans of all internal areas as per the housekeeping schedule
- Regular cleas of all external areas as per the housekeeping schedule
- Deep cleaning rooms in the building as part of the summer turnaround where required
- Managing the safe storage of cleaning chemicals and stocks
- Driving team standards to exceed expectations
- Be a positive influence on the team
- Ensuring external litter picks are completed daily to keep the site free from rubbish/mess
- Contributing to team meetings to outline the works currently being undertaken and any upcoming works, the housekeeping team is undertaking
- Ensuring All members of the housekeeping team complete training set out by Collegiate
- Ensuring the Housekeeping team are presentable in uniform as per Collegiate's appearance policy
- Taking accountability for overall property presentation
- Support office where required
- Monitoring and fulfilling the varied auditing requirements including: maintenance audits, Health and Safety audits, identifying and managing fire safety issues, Control of Hazardous Substances requirements (COSHH)

- Ad hoc tasks
Please note that due to the nature of the business and this specific role there are a large number of ad-hoc tasks which occur throughout the year - the JD is not exhaustive.
Experience:
- Past cleaning experience essential & leading a team
Skills/Ability/Knowledge:
- Previous experience of working in student accommodation/hotels or hostels is preferred, but not essential
- Take pride in yours and your teams work
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work as part of a small team
- Ability to Communicate with residents & those at all levels.
- Ability to work independently
- The ability to prioritise work
Job Types:
Permanent, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week
Salary:
£17,940.00 per year
