    Assistant Operations Manager – PBSA (Student Accommodation)

    We are seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join our property team in Nottingham City Centre.

    About the Role

    This is a key position within our organisation, and the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional resident experiences, maintaining high standards of building maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Lead the management of onsite departments, fostering a positive team culture and promoting excellent customer service.
    • Champion high levels of service, demonstrating a personal commitment to excellence in all interactions.
    • Drive sales and marketing efforts, achieving great results through commercial savvy approaches.
    • Become a subject expert in day-to-day operations, ensuring all team members deliver exceptional resident experiences.
    • Work closely with stakeholders, third-party contractors, and universities to understand how our buildings provide more than just accommodation.
    • Adeptly handle queries from various business units and operational teams, providing expert advice and guidance.
    • Maintain open communication channels, fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
    • Develop and guide the team to ensure properties are consistently filled throughout the year, with residents who want to stay long-term.

    Requirements

    • An experienced Assistant Manager or Manager from a student accommodation background, BTR, hotels, or leisure industry.
    • Proven customer service and administration skills, with experience in managing teams and dealing with maintenance enquiries/issues.
    • Excellent man management skills, leading by example and promoting a positive work culture.
    • Able to make tough decisions, resilient, and adept at managing change.
    • A self-starter, able to adapt to new situations and challenges.
