Warrington, WA5 3ZJ**-
Full time, permanent:

  • Grade 9, pt33 £39,493 to pt37 £43,516 per annum:

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays + Excellent benefits

Formed in 2018, Omega Multi-Academy Trust is a cross-phase group of six schools serving the metropolitan borough of Warrington and the city of Liverpool.

Our schools are firmly rooted in their communities and respond to their needs with local understandingand knowledge, retaining their unique identities.


A bout the Business Manager role:
The role will be based at the central office in Warrington. However, the ability to travel to individual schools is a necessity.

The role of the Trust Business Manager is to be responsible for the Premises management,

Financial Management and Compliance across one or more schools within the Trust, under the direction of the Chief Finance and Operations Office.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • The daytoday financial management of one or more schools within the Trust.
  • To work closely with the Chief Finance & Operations Officer to ensure that the Trust effectively delivers on its strategic financial plans.
  • To ensure that the school(s) they are responsible for make the best possible use of resources through effective planning, considering all financial and other resource management implications.
  • To ensure that resources are managed effectively, ethically, professionally, with integrity conforming to all internal and external regulatory requirements in a sustainable, timely and professionally sound manner according to identified best practice.
  • To assist the Chief Finance & Operations Officer in formulating the Trust's future direction and supporting strategic initiatives.
  • To actively contribute to the development of quality improvement programmes across the Trust.
  • To monitor and develop business plans in conjunction with the Chief Finance & Operations Officer.
  • To contribute to the ethos, development and success of the Omega Multi-Academy Trust.
  • To implement and follow operational best practices.

About you:

Previous experience in and an understanding of school management issues are essential.


You will have strong IT skills and be a strategic, analytic thinker, enabling you to deliver services, systems and value-for-money initiatives.

You will be diplomatic and able to establish positive working relationships with all key stakeholders.

  • Qualifications and experience:_
  • Accountant accreditation from one of the major accountancy professional bodies
  • Qualified to Degree Level or equivalent
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience of financial information systems and be computer literate
  • Experience of working effectively with a wide range of external partners
