What will this role achieve?


This role will support the UK&I Regulatory Affairs Lead to ensure the legal compliance of all pladis products sold within the market.


The role holder will support the provision of sound regulatory and technical advice to enable the launch & re-launch of pladis products within the region in a swift and efficient manner, ensuring all formulations and product claims meet legal requirements and comply with pladis policies.

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Supporting Key Regulatory projects across UK&I and Global Regulatory environment
  • Key Superuser for Regulatory/Specification Management Systems (COSMOS) supporting on daytoday user issues; training and development of future systems
  • Act as a central point of contact on Regulatory Systems for global Regulatory team
  • Support daytoday Regulatory Compliance activities; including product formulation reviews, pack copy generation and artwork sign off
  • Support internal business partners (including Marketing and R&D) by providing regulatory support to for pipeline projects intended for market, including product naming, advice on claims, pictorial depiction, acceptability of ingredients, allergen issues, nutrition calculations etc.
  • Liaise with regional regulatory, technical and commercial teams to ensure regulatory compliance of products intended for sale within UK&I, but manufactured outside this region
  • Provide advice to marketing and P2M teams on suitability for use
  • Represent pladis at external meetings, conferences or trade organisations as appropriate
What do you need for this role?

Essential

  • Strong background in a food regulatory environment
  • Detailed knowledge of UK/EU Food Legislation, guidelines and codes of practice
  • Strong working knowledge of Specification Management Systems (SAP/Interspec)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication and influencing skills
  • Good project management and implementation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crossfunctional team
  • High level of computer literacy & competency in using web based specification systems
  • Good numeracy skills
Desirable

  • Regulatory experience outside EU
  • Experience of systems implementation projects; including data migration and functional spec design activities
