Description

The primary role of the Technical Assistant is to provide administrative support to the engineering and operations departments, contributing to the successful day to day completion of engineering tasks as identified by the projects team.

You will liaise with the operations and engineering disciplines to ensure that you understand the technical elements of the project deliverables, and are involved in the planning, scheduling, and execution of the project specific tasks from RFQ stage through to the project close out.

Within this role you are responsible for producing standardised, high quality project documentation, filing project documentation in an organised manner, and supporting the engineering and operations disciplines to meet project demands.


  • Assist in planning, scheduling, project tracking and coordination of project support activities ensuring control of final Client deliverables.
  • Support the initial review of technical data from clients, valve suppliers, sub suppliers, site service team, and service department.
  • Provide support to the project team in the preparation of technical documents to ensure that all material is supplied to clients in a standardised, high quality format.
  • Assist with internal administration functions to ensure that the associated IT file structures are well ordered and maintained
  • Manage and facilitate communication across the engineering facets to ensure the project objectives and business needs are met.
  • Control project documentation in the company document management system.
  • Ensure the client's documentation is available and submitted when required, thus adhering to their requests and milestones.
  • Provide support to inhouse site service activities such as installation and servicing of mechanical equipment.
  • Assist with material movement activities.
  • QA/QC goods inwards / outwards in accordance with company QMS.
  • Control goods documentation to ensure all necessary documentation is filed in to the company DMS, produce documentation specified by the client, and produce documentation required as part of company QMS.
  • Support the handling of project scope changes, site service feedback and nonconformities (NCR's).
  • Carry out any other relevant duties as required by the business.

Salary:
£21,450.00-£25,350.00 per year

Experience:

Microsoft Excel: 3 years (required)

  • Administrative experience: 3 years (required)
  • Mechanical engineering: 2 years (preferred)

  • Middlesbrough (required)
