We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Administrator to join our team.


The Gateway team operate within many sites across the county and we encourage applicants from all areas of Dorset to join our Pan Dorset service based at Palmerston Road, Bournemouth.

We also allow home working where possible.


You will work as part of our Administration Team to schedule appointments, manage telephone calls, create letters and maintain up to date records.


You will be the first point of call on the telephone, liaising with patients, staff, relatives, GPs and other services.

This is a fast paced and rewarding service to work within and you will help us ensure its effective and smooth running.


As part of the many exciting developments within CAMHS, Dorset HealthCare has been busy setting up a brand new 'Front Door' service to the current Core CAMHS teams, focusing on the assessment of young people and providing brief clinical intervention.

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.


To liaise with members of the public in their dealings with the team/service, some of whom may prove at times to be distressed, challenging, or aggressive in manner.


To liaise with other members of the CAMH Service to organise and deliver a safe and efficient office system to support sound patient care, consistent with good clinical governance guidelines, whilst helping the team to achieve targets and complete timely returns of information.

To support clinicians with their work including typing clinical letters and organising appointments.
