Job Summary:


Are you seeking a fulfilling role where you can mentor and inspire young people? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our new team.

You will provide care and support to children, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence.


Responsibilities:


  • Providing children and young people with emotional and social support, helping them to develop meaningful relationships with other children and adults, as well as encouraging them to become involved within the local community.
  • Carry out domestic duties within the home, involving the children and young people where appropriate and plan, shop and prepare meals, ensuring they have a varied and well balanced diet.
  • Promoting, safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children in our care
  • Encouraging the development of individual interests of our young people
  • A desire to learn, we provide full training for you and support to develop your career

Requirements:


  • Experience working with children or individuals with social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
  • Ability to follow care plans and provide personalised support
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of childcare practices and principles is an asset

Zero hours contract


Pay:
£12.50-£14.00 per hour
