What is the overall job?
The Planner will establish and update overall project programmes for design, procurement and construction, decanting and commissioning


Other key responsibilities include:

  • Provide an operational planning service to ensure design, procurement, construction, decanting and commissioning activities are monitored and controlled in respect of time.
  • Develop logistics strategy and planning.
  • Participate in defining work package breakdown, identifying scope of works.
  • Participate in value engineering and buildability exercises.
  • Conduct leading edge critical analysis of sequencing and sequencing methodologies.
  • Produce and maintain work package document incorporating current and progressed procurement schedules, bar charts and package content sheets.
  • Make recommendations and provide advice to project teams on programming issues to better programme duration.
  • Agree work package contract programmes and incorporate into main programme.

What do I need to be successful in this role?

  • Evidence of career progression in building construction with exposure to a number and variety of substantial projects
  • A recent history of sitebased planning experience on a significant project.
  • Good planning experience together with a strong acumen is essential along with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Qualified to degree standard, in a related discipline
