The Team


AM Best's Compliance function plays a pivotal role in assisting the business to fulfill this mission by monitoring and reporting on the compliance of AM Best with regards to its regulatory obligations.

The Compliance function is responsible for liaisingwith the business to ensure new and emerging regulations, as well as current regulations, are understood and assisting the business in developing policies, procedures and protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements.


Your Responsibilities:


Monitoring

  • Manage and track internal incidents, remedial actions and the effectiveness of the internal controls proposed to manage / reduce the likelihood of the incident reoccurring.
  • Support with the enhancement of compliance procedures, systems and controls.
  • Manage and followup on internal audit findings and internal control issues from the reviews.
  • Support due diligence checks and sanctions screening of new client accounts and provide ongoing monitoring.

Reporting

  • Provide periodic and adhoc information to regulators as required.
  • Support with the compilation of management information on compliance and regulatory issues to senior management including advice on remedial steps.

Policy and Procedure Development

  • Support with the development of compliance policies and procedures to comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Support with the development of compliance guidance, presentations to aide with the enhancement of internal controls.

Compliance Advisory Support

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to discussions by providing compliance expertise / advice to ensure regulatory requirements are met.

Skills and Experience:


  • Junior to
- mid-level compliance / regulatory professional with a broad range of skills (including regulatory reporting, compliance advisory, and compliance training).

  • Experience of working for a CRA or the CRA regulator an advantage.
