Job Overview
This a role is part of a new and exciting 6 month Planning for Care project being launched between Age UK Surrey and Surrey County Council, aimed at residents who arrange and pay for their own care.
The initiative aims to help those over 50 understand and navigate the health and care system, encourage them to plan for later life, make good decisions about care and support, whilst understanding the range of care options available.
This role will be to work directly with the Planning for Care Advisor, providing administrative support and acting as a key point of contact for clients and their families.
Key tasks:
- To support a project to help residents with a wide range of enquiries and provide information and advice about planning for later life, welfare benefits and income maximisation, power of attorney, asset management and care options.
- Develop information resources to distribute at events, on website, via phone enquiries, at groups and via home visits.
- Support in the Delivery of the objectives and measures of success for the project monitoring key performance indicators.
- To manage the project administration, ensuring high attention to detail and obtaining consent from clients.
- To be responsible for the timely and accurate recording of all client and project related data onto Salesforce and relevant databases.
- To assist in the planning and delivery of events in each borough and district area across Surrey where we will share information and advice to residents who arrange and pay for care themselves, care arrangers and carers.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Highly organised, selfmotivated with high attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel and other software
- Adaptable, flexible and selfmotivated
- Excellent customer service skills
- Team player
- Strong IT and digital skills including ability to navigate online information.
- Experience in an administration role, including updating and maintaining databases accurately.
- Knowledge of current health and social care priorities
- Understanding of GDPR and all other relevant Data Protection legislation
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Age UK Surrey services
- Experience of arranging and supporting events
Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Salary:
£21,500.00 per year
