Team Leader / Warehouse Team Leader
The Best Connection are currently searching for a
Team Leader to join one of their main clients in the
Crewe area.
The position is to control the warehouse operatives on shift to ensure efficient operational running of all outbound and inbound functions within the warehouse.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential. You will be working in a cold environment, so wearing warm clothing is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all goods received are receipted in and checked in accordance with HACCP/Quality requirements (Critical Control Point Checks, Temperature, Quality checks)
- Complete relevant paperwork to comply with health and safety and food safety standards and HACCP requirements and to track the service provided
- Ensure Non-Conformance Reports are completed for all pallet/product/trailer issues and given to Warehouse/Shift Manager or Supervisor
- To monitor and control the Returns/Quarantine Area
- Operate relevant MHE and ensure all Warehouse Operatives operating equipment are permitted & authorised and that they are operated in a safe manner at all times
- Ensure all MHE users complete a Pre-Check sheet at the start and end of their shift and that any defects recorded are dealt with a professional & timely manner
- Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the accident reporting procedure, ensuring statements, photographs, etc., are taken and any MHE involved are placed as VOR until inspected by a competent person
- To ensure temperature probes are calibrate weekly and the records are completed
- Accurately pick orders and wrap for safe transit
- Ensure all goods dispatched are recorded on a fully completed Load Plan and all Critical Control and quality checks are completed and recorded
- Ensure all goods that require stacking/restacking on pallets are stacked and secured as far as possible to provide stability for transit reducing product damage
Requirements:
- HACCP Awareness qualification
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; towards colleagues and customers
- Must be physically active due to the nature of the role; dealing with heavy goods
- Must be fluent in English due to the nature of the role; being in constant communication with Planning teams, Operations teams, and warehouse operatives
Working Hours:
Working on a 4 on 4 off basis.
07:00am - 19:00pm
Pay:
**£11.97 per hour
