Job summary:


The Assistant Head S&G is responsible for leading and directing the NBC Clyde S&G Department to ensure outputs are delivered to NBC and the MOD Board of Directors in respect of Strategic Programme Management, Risk Management, Requirement Management, Performance Management, Business Strategy and Planning, Customer Management, Strategic Information and Reporting, and internal Communications.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.


Job description:


This post is responsible for the following tasks:
Line Management and development of S&G function and people.

Leading New Requirements Process. Leading team in development and management of new requirements at HMNB Clyde

Risk Management. Leading team in development and management of corporate level risk/issue and opportunity process

Governance. Development and maintenance of NBC Organisational Governance Arrangements (OGA)

Customer Management. Lead development and management of Customer Feedback and Survey process, Service Level Agreements and Business Agreements

Programme Management. Lead development and management of HMNBC Integrated Programme

Business Strategy & Planning. Development and management of the HMNB Clyde base-wide strategic programme and Strategy & Business Plan

Strategic and Management Information Reporting. Leading development and management of key business information to inform MoD/Navy Command/Director Submarines/Senior Governance Boards and risk based decision making

Policy Secretariat. Lead the management of Policy Secretariat functions on behalf of NBC.

Internal Communications. Development of internal communications intelligent customer function on behalf of NBC

A person who will thrive on building and delivering the NBC Clyde governance architecture and supporting reporting mechanisms. This individual will play a pivotal role in establishing and communicating the Clyde strategic aim, implementing robust corporate governance, managing the Clyde integrated programme, increasing customer focus and promoting internal communications in support of the One Clyde culture.
