JOB TITLE:
STATUTORY REPORTING & COMPLIANCE LEAD


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for the coordination and filing of IFRS compliant statutory accounts for Asset Solutions entities both UK and internationally, ensuring that there is supporting information held for all balances and disclosures reported, and that deadlines for returns are met.
  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of the group yearend audit and statutory audit process for each Asset Solutions legal entity and acting as a key focal point for the external auditors. Dealing with all issues that arise during this process in order to meet the filing deadlines.
  • Working closely with legal, group finance and tax departments, executing the legal entity rationalization program for finance targeting a significant reduction in entity numbers by 2023/202
  • Lead the implementation of ERP Narrative Reporting and ensure that it delivers the intended benefits of system generated statutory accounts.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to increase the efficiency of the statutory reporting process.
  • Coordinate with the tax team with regards to Statutory accounts support and analysis collection.
  • Full understanding of complex group structures in order to ensure correct reporting of all Asset Solutions statutory accounts.
  • Lead administration of Company Secretarial related filings in company books.
  • Lead Central Compliance Hub that supports all compliance matters for Asset Solutions entities, including international branches.
  • Management of Statutory Reporting team ensuring efficient and productive use of their time.
  • Develop strong relationship with external auditors.
  • Mentoring junior members of staff.
  • Escalating issues to the Financial Director
  • Asset Solutions Controlling when required and keeping them briefed on the teams' activities.
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


  • An accountancy qualification is required ICAS/ICAEW/ACCA or equivalent.
  • Must be able to work to tight deadlines and manage direct report's ability to work to these deadlines also.
  • High level of technical accounting knowledge and accountancy regulations.
  • High levels of accuracy required when reviewing the statutory accounts for submission to Companies House.
  • Flexible in order to respond to the changing compliance demands of the Asset Solutions business.
  • Experienced user of ERP is preferred due to oversight that this role has.
  • Good communication skills when dealing with auditors.
  • Proficient user of Excel.
  • Good people management skills are required as well as the ability to act as a mentor for junior members of staff and build strong relationships with the wider finance team.
  • Minimum years of experience in Finance is required.
  • Experience of statutory accounts and audit processes is essential.
  • ERP experience is preferable.
  • Experience in an international group of companies is preferable.
