A well-established charity is currently recruiting for a
Supported Housing Officer to join their team on a
Temporary to Permanent basis in
Hertfordshire.
homeless persons,whilst they stay within temporary accommodation.
Length:
Temporary to Permanent
Hours:
37.5 hours per week
-
Shifts: a rolling rota over 7 days; including weekends
- 8:00am 4:00pm
12:00pm - 8:00pm
Location:
Bishop Stortford
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver emotional and life skills based support, assisting service users with daytoday tasks
- Complete support plans and risk assessments with the service users
- Enforce tenancy conditions in line with procedures including lowlevel antisocial behaviour and rent arrears
- Offer specialist knowledge and insight into rent arrears helping tenants with budgeting
- Carry out regular estate inspections
- Offer advice and assistance to tenants regarding their benefit entitlements
- Provide support and advice to tenants in relation to issues concerning their tenancies
- Manage void properties to ensure the quickest relet times including carrying out viewings and signups
Essential requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS with the Adults and Children's lists checked from within the last 3 years or willingness to apply
- Knowledge of working with vulnerable young people
- Working knowledge of support plans and risk assessments
