Seven Social Care is looking for a Family Support Assistant to start a new exclusive role in Bolton. This is a temporary contract initially for 3 months with the possibility of placement extension.

The role:

As a Family Support Assistant, you will be a vital part of the team providing practical and personal support to disabled children, which may be in their own homes or to enable them to get out and about.

You will assist in planned activities designed to meetthe developmental or therapeutic needs of disabled children, monitor and record contact with the young people and their families using our service.

You will be operating within the wider Bridges Family Support Team to meet the assessed needs of disabled children and their families across Bolton.

In order to meet the needs of the family's support will involve some weekend working, and you will be required to work some early mornings and evenings.

Key Responsibilities:

To provide practical and personal support to families of disabled children as directed.

To assist in planned activities designed to meet the developmental or therapeutic needs of disabled children.

To monitor and record contact with the service users.

To take part in meetings and reviews as necessary and to provide the appropriate information.

To work as part of a team to assist in the continued development of family support services for disabled children.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience:
Two years' experience in supporting disabled children in domestic, social care or school setting

Qualifications:
QCF/NVQ 2 in Care

Compliance:
Up to date enhanced DBS

Hours:20 hours per week and includes weekend work on a rota basis
