About the role:

We are hiring a Logistics Operative within our busy logistics team based at Manchester Science Park.

The Logistics Operative will contribute to day to day operations of the warehouse, dispatch and finished product packing activities to ensure that stock levels of Yourgene Health products are suitably maintained and distribution to customers is performed efficiently upon receipt of orders.

The Logistics Operative will

maximise the effectiveness of all areas of logistics, working in collaboration with other departments to ensure that the customer receives a 1st class delivery service for YGH products.

The is a full-time and permanent position.


Key responsibilities:


  • Receiving and booking in of delivered materials
  • Ensure goods and materials are stored appropriately to cGMP
  • Manage documentation for the area including purchase orders, delivery notes, goods received notes etc
  • Preparing and picking of materials for upstream business processes
  • Maintenance of stock records
  • Cycle counting and stock taking
  • Preparation and completion of dispatch documentation
  • Packing goods ready for dispatch
  • Dispatching of finished product to customers
  • Ensuring packing requirements and schedules are achieved
  • Facilitate the forecasting and scheduling of packing runs
  • Packing line clearance
  • Preparation and completion of packing documentation
  • Support customer order tracking and customer order service training and support, when required

About you:


  • Educated to HNC level in an appropriate discipline
  • Experience of working and adhering to ISO13485 Quality Management Systems
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and own initiative
  • Enthusiasm, drive, thoroughness, diligence and a willingness to take personal responsibility to ensure projects are successful
  • Able to work under pressure and to consistently meet deadlines
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Experience of working within interdisciplinary teams is desirable
  • Qualified for DG by road, sea and air desirable
