Overview:
Teaching Assistant required for September 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Salary details:
Currently £20,297 - £21,223 Full Time Equivalent (FTE)
Actual Salary approx:
£13,230 - £13,834 per annum
Contract type:
Fixed term, term time only from September 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Hours:29.16 hours per week (possibly more), term time only

About us:
Whitchurch Combined School is a village school just north of Aylesbury. We are a committed and enthusiastic team and are looking for the right person to join us.
About the role:
- Work with and support individual children on a 1:1 basis and groups on specific activities;
- Constructively help children participate in activities by adapting and/or interpreting lessons and instructions accordingly.
- Implement support plans for identified child / children;
- Assist with the general management, supervision and organisation of children and any resources related to the children's needs.
- Assist with the supervision of children within the classroom and all other areas of the school as necessary.
- Undertake lunchtime duties and supervision
About you:
Previous experience of working with children is essential.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Experience of working with children with special educational needs
- The ability to use their own initiative;
- The ability to show patience, always remaining calm and consistent;
- A warm and approachable manner towards others
- Well organised but also flexible enough to respond to the needs and enthusiasms of the child.
