Lewis Cleansing is recruiting a full-time Site Caretaker at a school positioned in Kidderminster, Worcestershire

Hours: 35 hours per week, 44 weeks a year

Salary:
£20, pro-rata)

Your duty as a Site Caretaker is to ensure the general security, safety and cleanliness of the school premises and grounds, are maintained to a high standard, in accordance with the schools expectations, and relevant health and safety policies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

To ensure the safe maintenance of premises, plant, machinery and equipment, repairing basic damage/wear and tear, reporting back to management as required.
To undertake agreed cleaning/janitorial tasks not included in the school cleaning specification, including emergency cleaning as required.
To carry out repairs and maintenance which are not beyond the scope of a competent DIY person.
To lock/unlock school premises at agreed times
To act as keyholder and be available for 'callouts' out of normal working hours.
To clear up paved areas and playgrounds (i.e., by disinfecting drains, picking up litter, emptying litter bins and clearing grids).
To be responsible for premises security and its contents in the absence of any other designated responsible person.
Moving furniture and equipment around the school premises as required.
Recording meter readings (gas, electricity, water) on a weekly/monthly basis.
The Site Caretaker is expected to follow school policy regarding care/control and supervision of children.
