Purpose

Responsibilities include

  • Supporting with all aspects of Smart deployment, contacting customers to book in convenient appointments for smart installs and issuing relevant flows to Metering agents.
  • Processing fallout across the deployment journey using the appropriate customer treatments to triage and rechurn sites that are eligible for smart metering but have previously failed.
  • Investigate and resolve all actions associated with post install processes, ensuring that meter read performance across the smart capable portfolio is meeting business and industry expectations.
  • Responding to and actioning outputs across the SMETs metering portfolio, ensuring that management of smart alerts, services requests and firmware requirements are processed in a timely manner.
  • To be the first point of contact for internal stakeholders, supporting with technical Metering queries and customer escalations, whilst ensuring that the meter point is fit to bill.
  • Validation and closure of all site visits associated with Siteworks messages across both electricity and gas metering points.
  • Processing incoming data flows from Metering agents to support processes such as:
  • Missing Meter Details
  • Comms issues at site
  • Site visit outcomes
  • Agent appointment mismatches

About you

  • Flexible in absorbing sudden changes in priority, remaining focused on deadlines and enjoy being at the centre of a busy and fast paced environment.
  • Resilient and audacious in maximising appointment booking opportunities with customers selling the benefits of smart meters whilst effectively handling objections / customer opt outs.
  • A passion to learn and develop knowledge across meter types, third parties and industry bodies
  • Experience in working across AMR and SMETs meter points for both gas and electricity products.
  • A principal understanding of Metering third parties (MOPs/MAMs) and Smart Metering stakeholders such as the DCC & SEC
  • Ability to work towards defined targets and clear objectives in a fast pace environment
  • Relentless in pursuing improvement, bringing others along the journey with them
  • Good communication skills both verbally and in written form
  • Effective at building relationships with internal stakeholders and customers

Desirable but not essential

  • Good understanding of the orchestration and service request management within the SMETs meter industry
  • Experience in working to set targets in a sales led environment
  • Experience in working alongside metering partners such as MOPs / MAMs / DCC etc
  • Strong excel knowledge
