Higher Education or NHS experience and the ability to work and engage with a range of stakeholders and no technical 'customers' - staff and students would be an advantage.

Since the role will also involve instructing specialist contractors, sometimes urgently, the ability to manage contractor relationships and ensure the University derives good value for Money from contracted works (including being able to diagnose/assess and specify practical requirements effectively) will also be important.
