ROLE OVERVIEW:


Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer - UK, the PMO Lead plays a critical role in coordinating and management of the delivery of our projects.

You will work collaboratively with our experienced Consulting, Google Analytics, Google Cloud, Google Marketing Platform experts to deliver solutions effectively for our customers.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

This is an excellent opportunity for a PMO Lead to join the Data, Insight and Analytics team. You will work our customers and teams to delivery on projects.

You will work closely with our Transformation, Data Analysts, Google Cloud and Google Media experts to deliver ambitious project for our customers.

As part of the role, you will lead the project delivery and would be the core escalation point on projects, you will also have a key role in developing deep relationships with our customer and client facing teams.


KEY OBJECTIVES:


  • Be accountable for the profitable ontime delivery of the UK portfolio of technical projects
  • Effectively manage the capacity and utilisation of the UK delivery teams and inform resourcing decisions
  • Work within our Global PMO framework to further build and enhance our PMO practice across people, processes, and systems in the delivery of technical projects.
  • Handson project management/delivery of consulting driven technical projects.
  • Define, document, and implement best practice project and programme management processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders during the delivery of projects.
  • Deliver assigned projects in line with established goals. Ensure projects/programmes are properly scoped, resourced and delivered upon
  • Ensure client expectations are managed and met across all programmes. Quality of delivery is aligned to customer expectations and satisfying objectives defined at the outset of the project e.g., performance/functionality.
  • Understand and articulate the scope of each project to each member of the team that has been assigned.
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Coordinate internal resources, client stakeholders and third parties/vendors for successful execution of projects.
  • Proactively manage resources to ensure the required skills are aligned to the demands of the project.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress using established tools and processes.
  • During delivery of the project continuously ensure that time is optimized for each member and accurately reflected in the project management solutions.
  • Work with team members to carry out time and cost estimations ensure the estimated date and cost is accurate.
  • Management of project budgets and resources to ensure projects are delivered as effectively as possibly.
  • Managing Risks and Issues (RAID logs per project)
  • Monitoring progress and reporting on it via agreed channels and to established timelines.
  • Escalating to consulting management where the success of the project is at risk.
  • Participate in presales engagements to develop highquality sales proposals.
  • Proactively resolve risks that might arise during the delivery of projects.
  • Ensure the business is informed of current and future resourcing demands.
  • Work within the Global PMO framework to ensure best practice and proactively improve the programme and project management tools and processes used by the team.
  • Support the development of career and succession plans for the PMO team members.
  • Ensure timesheets are complete and accurate to ensure we have as realtime insight into current delivery and expectation management of the current month revenue performance.
  • Ensure the full portfolio of technical project plans are correctly phased and planned to ensure sufficient insight into forward looking capacity and resource requirements. These plans also inform our revenue forecasts.
  • Support the biz dev and client teams with PMO input when completing biz dev activities by assisting with scope definition, project plans, costing, and providing insight into resources and availability.
