Description
We have a role for a Purchasing Assistant for our expanding team. You will support a group of engineering companies in purchasing parts and materials for their installation and service projects.As the Purchasing & After-Sales Assistant you will work Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Placing purchase orders using the companies internal controls system
- Expediting outstanding purchase orders with suppliers and communicating with customers
- Database management of the control system including but not limited to creating/editing and updating both product and supplier information
- Supporting purchase to pay cycle and liaising with both engineering base and accounts department
- Assisting with supplier evaluation, collating data and analysing
- Generating and processing both customer and supplier returns
To be successful for the role of Purchasing Assistant we require the following:
- Has the ability to effectively engage with both suppliers and customers
- Has strong customer service and telephone relationship skills
- Has strong IT system skills
- Can work as part of a very busy team and to very tight deadlines
Salary:
£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
