Year 4 Teaching Assistant Needed
Full-Time Derby
Are you a qualified teaching assistant looking for your next full-time role in a school that offers lots of support and development? Are you looking for a position that is full-time for the rest of the academic year? Do you want to work locally in Derby? This is for you.
About the role
This role is in a mainstream primary school in the Derby area which has a great reputation and a fantastic team and Headteacher.
You do not need to be a KS2 specialist or have worked in KS2 before. The Headteacher wants someone qualified, confident and reliable. She is happy to have people that have experience in Primary, Juniour,Infant and nursery schools.
You must be able to form strong positive relations with the children you work with and work well as a team with the class teacher.
About the class teacher
The class teacher is a long-standing member of the staff and is very welcoming to new staff.
You will be provided with lesson plans and interventions will be planned for you, but your input would be greatly valued.
About the school
This is a school that runs on a positive working atmosphere and the staff are very much a hard-working community of positive education professionals that are very welcoming to new staff.
About the class
The class have made great progress throughout the year thanks to the efforts of the class teacher and the current TA.
The class are of very mixed ability but as a whole are a lovely bunch that have a great sense of humour and are getting on great.
Why is this role available?
This role is available because the current TA has been commuting over 25 minutes to Derby every day and has found a role much closer to home and wanted to pursue a career in EYFS rather than KS2.
You must have
- Experience within a primary, junior,infant or nursery school or private nursery setting
- At least a level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- A fun and engaging personality
- A cando attitude
- A passion to make a difference in the lives of the children you work with
- Great behaviour management techniques

£18,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
