Our Project Support Officers play a key role in providing high quality project support to our team of digital project managers, working closely with highly skilled and motivated multi-disciplinary project teams.


We are looking for a motivated, organised and enthusiastic individual who is able to work, learn and actively contribute within a project team environment.

You must be passionate and committed to providing the highest levels of service.

Working in a busy environment, you will face a variety of competing priorities that will require a flexible approach combined with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills.

Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and attention to detail are necessary skills for this post.

To be the custodian of all project information to ensure that a single source of the truth is maintained.

Establish and maintain project controls to oversee the coordination of issues, risks, change control, decision and action logs.

Keep the project manager aware of the project status against plan. Prepare project performance reports, present statistics and research new information.

Implement and maintain appropriate systems to enable effective planning and scheduling.

Procurement of supplies and services related to project support within Delegated Financial Authority limits.

Contribute to the compilation of project budgets and monitor project spend.

Ensures an accurate asset register is maintained.

Manage potential risk areas, working with risk managers and escalating as appropriate


Manage professional relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and act as lead point of contact for some external parties.

Planning meetings, preparing papers and recording appropriately.

Responsibility for day-to-day liaison with project workstream leads.

Lead on delivery of discrete work packages.

Maintains action logs and follow up actions.

Setting up stakeholder engagement events.


The Digital PMO (Programme Management Office) at EMAS has oversight and responsibility for delivery of the organisation's portfolio of digitally enabled projects.

The key outcomes of the Digital PMO are to improve organisational accountability, decision-making, transparency, and visibility in relation to the portfolio of digitally enabled change.

The Digital PMO will ensure that the right projects/programmes are launched; consistency of delivery through standards and processes and those things are done well and right first time by providing oversight of and support to projects.
