About us


The UCL Estates Operations team manages a property portfolio of over 645,000m2 of diverse real estate on behalf of UCL, supporting over 48,000 student and nearly 15,000 staff.

Managing an in house UCL workforce of 250 staff and a contractor workforce ofover 1,000, the primary function of the division is to provide all Facilities Management services including, cleaning, security and maintenance.


UCL Estates has a 24/7 service through the Direct Labour Operative team to provide around-the-clock cover for maintenance and repairs issues across the whole UCL campus.

The DLO team provides a comprehensive on-call service both responding to emergenciesbut also undertaking works where access is a problem during normal hours.


About the role


The Technical Co-ordinator will manage and coordinate the integrated operational infrastructure of the DLO, through the use of Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) Systems.

This will involve liaising with different teams including the MaintenanceOperation Supervision Team and more.

You will participate in the development of, and oversee the implementation and administration of policies, systems, and procedures. You will prepare financial and operational analyses and reports, and audit current procedures to monitor and improve efficiencyof operations.


About you
You will need to have strong administration skills including reporting, researching, gathering and preparing data for presentations.

You must be an excellent communicator with a positive and collegiate attitude and the ability to develop and manage relationshipswith stakeholders at all levels, support functions and third-party suppliers.


You should have broad working knowledge gained within a complex academic institution or a similar complex organisation, and previous experience working in a team environment, preferably within craft and mechanical trade.

You will be a results-focused individual,with the ability to work at pace whilst maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
