**Consultant in Acute Medicine - Barts Health Trust - Whipps Cross Hospital

Consultant**Barts Health is one of the country's largest NHS trusts and one of the country's premier healthcare providers.

After being brought out of special measures, we now have the incentive and breathing room to chart a new course in which we are always working to improve all of our patient services.

The Consultant will be hired as a full-time 10 PA consultant by Barts Health. In the initial instance, it is expected that the normal duty distribution would be 7.

5:2.

5 DCC:
SPA. The appointee will be on call once every 27 weekday evenings to see acute take patients from and subsequently from home till the morning post-take ward round

The medical take numbers at Whipps Cross vary and might range from 40 to 70 patients in a 24-hour period.

A third of these are over the age of 80 and are cared for by the consultant on call for Older People's Services.

Essential Requirements

Right to work in the UK
Minimum of 6 months experience working within as a consultant in General Medicine
Relevant General Medicine experience
Full Practice GMC registration
Current ALS certificate
