About The Role


The role is part of the Council's Environment, Culture and Customer Services team, delivering corporate objectives through the work of the department.

Residents are at the heart of our work at Hounslow.

Through our ambitious Transport projects and programmes of development, change and transformation we are connecting and delivering support, opportunities and improvements across the borough that will make a difference for our residents.


The postholder will assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of Traffic, Transport and Parking schemes, logging and managing a range of enquires and responses and will work on the developed engagement plan which outlines how departments within Traffic, Transport and Parking department should engage on their projects.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work with colleagues in the Customer and Engagement team and build the resilience within the team to deal with correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the quality standards of correspondence are at a high level and logging and managing of responses to a range of enquiries within the CXM, such as: Casework (Members & MPs), Freedom of Information requests (FOI), Environmental Information Regulation requests (EIR), Formal Complaints (both Stage 1 and Stage 2) and Ombudsman enquiries as well as other TTP inboxes.
  • Support work to enable Hounslow Traffic, Transport, Parking, and engagement team to become an even more inclusive employee.
  • Ability to engage positively with the public and community groups.

  • Customer focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage well with stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight and often conflicting deadlines to secure positive outcomes.
  • Self-motivated team player with a positive approach and able to successfully collaborate with others.

Professional Qualifications:

No essential qualifications are required for this role if all the Role Profile provisions are met.
