Description
Coda Octopus designs, manufactures, sells and supports systems and software for the marine survey industry.


We are seeking a key member of a small finance & operations function who will be responsible for processing purchase ledger transactions, accounts reconciliations and assisting the finance analyst and director in various accounting processes for numerous group companies based in UK and abroad.

We are also responsible for some non finance operations including support of HR processes, contract liaison with regard to our buildings and interaction with 3rd party suppliers related to running the office.


Duties will include:

  • Purchase Ledger: Process invoices. Match customer invoices to purchase orders and receipts, follow up and explain discrepancies and deviations. Ensure all invoices are posted in timely fashion and produce any related reports for accruals at month end.
  • Credit card management monthly statements to all company credit card users ensuring returned in timely fashion, signed correctly and posted to ledger and filed.
  • VAT: Ensure input and output VAT rules and regulation are applied accurately across the board for all sales and purchase invoices.
  • Supplier statements: Reconcile statements and investigate any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or suppliers.
  • Month end close: Assist team as required.
  • Records management
  • Operational duties in support of smooth running of office facility incl. liaison with 3rd parties on contracts (utilities, fire, alarm, access, cleaners, stationery etc.)
  • Reception duties including telephone screening and call management.
  • General office support to CEO and FD as required (travel plans, meeting set up, hosting of guests)
  • HR documentation and GDPR compliance
Salary will be competitive and dependent on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package.
