Production Engineer/Supervisor

Our client is currently recruiting for a Production Engineer to join their team in Newbury.

The role will report into the Production Supervisor and Engineering Business Unit Manager and is based in Newbury however there will be some travel both in the UKand abroad.


Job Duties:

  • Working with and alongside the Production Supervisor and Engineering build staff.
  • Working to production targets and ensuring deadlines are achievable and coordinating with any relevant internal departments.
  • Coordination with the engineering team of engineering deliverables
  • Developing skills to ensure adherence to company procedures
  • Developing supervisory skills for managing production staff
  • Developing skills for EHS process activities and submission of reports to Corporate HQ
  • Developing skills for monthly EHS reviews as to the corporate policy

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience as a Fitter/Welder/Machinist in a Mechanical Engineering environment
  • Fabrication experience
  • Reading and understanding of drawings
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good general mechanical engineering knowledge, ideally with design and build experience of large bespoke automated industrial machines or maintenance of machinery
  • Strong computer skills including Powerpoint, MS project, MS word and excel, databases
  • Good mathematics and technical skills
  • Good critical thinking skills
**Hours of work are Monday to Thursday and Friday
