We are working with a nursery in Farnborough who are looking for a deputy manager to join their management team.

This is a full time role working 37 hours a week over 4 days with a salary between £27000-£30000 per annum.


For this role you need a level 3 or above childcare qualification and have senior experience working in a nursery.

Great EYFS knowledge is a must and so is great communication skills. As deputy manager you will need to take responsibility for leading thenursery in the absence of the manager.

Responsibilities of the Deputy manager will include

  • Making sure staff are effectively deployed throughout the nursery
  • Health and Safety checks.
  • Weekly fire equipment checks, smoke alarm testing
  • Ensure food hygiene standards are being maintained
  • Ensure security of the children and premises are upheld
  • Liaising with parents/carers as appropriate
  • Accurately maintain the nursery's database, registers and documentation concerning health and safety and child protection
  • Uphold the nursery's confidentiality policy
  • Ensure that the nursery's planning for the individual needs of each child is maintained to a high standard and projects the setting's ethos
Leadership skill are a must and you will need to help motivate, train and support the staff team.
