Transport Manager - Global FMCG


- Position:Transport Manager

Location: Hertfordshire, England, On-site

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Package

I am super excited to be working with a global and well-established business within the food industry space.

My client is looking for a person who is an experienced Transport Manager with great leadership skills, able to work efficiently in a fast-pacedenvironment.


This is an exciting role with a well known brand where you will own the responsibility for the performance of the region as well as managing and developing a growing team.


What you will be doing:


  • Lead and motivate and passionate team, overseeing a regional transport operation, reviewing bottle necks and opportunities for improvement
  • Build robust and sustainable partner relationships with internal and external teams working collaboratively to deliver cost to serve initiatives
  • Utilising best practise review KPIs and identify improvement areas.
  • Ensuring that all of the team is aware and acting in accordance with Health & Safety and legal standards and requirements, propelling a safety culture by enhancing and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • A confident team player with strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills;
  • National CPC holder
  • Experienced Logistics/Transportation professional with a good knowledge within the FMCG space;
  • A sharpwitted individual, who is able to make logical and effective decisions, as well as operating in a fast pacedenvironment;
  • A results and customer focused individual who is resilient and energetic.
