I am working with a small charity to recruit a Fundraiser. This is a part time role of 3 or 4 days per week.


Duties to include:

Fundraising and Income Generation

  • Maintain and work within the charity's financial instructions.
  • Actively fundraise to secure one off or repeat donations from individuals, local organisations and corporate supporters.
  • As a key aspect of fundraising activity, support and develop online presence including managing the Charity's website and social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) updating regularly to inform and promote the work of the charity
  • Manage the Gift Aid contributions from donations and completing the annual claim in conjunction with the Treasurer.
  • Plan and deliver fundraising events and activities, including post evaluation.
  • Promote the charity to secure sponsorship from potential supporters competing in local and national sporting events.
  • Ensure that all donors and supporters are thanked quickly and accurately to ensure all receipts are in good order. Assist the Treasurer and the Auditors in the preparation of the Annual Accounts.
  • Manage and expand the donor database.
  • Develop and review fundraising plan and strategy annually to maximise all possible income streams reviewing the most costeffective avenues and developing them further, in order to achieve 100% of income streams to meet all annual expenditure.
  • Develop Legacy Giving from existing supporters and new avenues of support.

Marketing and Communication

  • Ensure information is provided to supporters of the organisation and those involved in its services. This includes working with the management team to write produce and help coordinate publicity materials, including the Newsletter to raise the organisation's profile.
  • Organise talks and assist with special events, including public speaking. Where required write and undertake detailed presentations to financial supporters and other organisations to help secure new support and inform about the charity's history and work.
  • Network with corporate and community groups alongside building strong relationships with donors and supporters to secure long term support for the charity's work.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Creativity, imagination and an entrepreneurial attitude towards fundraising.
  • Demonstrate experience of leading on the successful securing of funding.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of a range of potential income streams.
  • Demonstrable experience and initiative of successfully designing, planning and delivering fundraising activities.
  • Ability to develop and complete reporting systems to meet funding criteria awards.
  • Demonstrable ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders, including the design and delivery of presentations.
  • Experience of building and maintaining successful relationships and networks which contribute to the organisation's goals.
  • Ability to update website, keeping it current and engaging. A working knowledge of Square Space web design desirable, though training can be provided if needed.
  • Proven track record for producing engaging content for Facebook and Instagram.
  • A pro active attitude, drive and enthusiasm to carry out projects to conclusion.
  • The ability to influence others with excellent oral and written communications.
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet financial targets and operational deadlines.

A minimum of 2 years corporate fundraising with a charity is essential for this role

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience

  • Commitment to the cause of the charity.
  • Qualification in fundraising and / or marketing.
  • The ability to motivate others and work as part of a team.
  • Budget management skills.
  • Good organisational and project management skills

Working Hours: 3/4 days ; flexibility will be required as the post holder will occasionally need to attend events during evenings and weekends when required.


Salary:
by negotiation depending on experience


Job Types:

Salary:
£25,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
