TOOLING STORES CONTROLLER

Nottinghamshire, Permanent, Days

circa £17 per hour
Do you have experience or knowledge of CNC Machining processes?

Are you looking for a role where you will support the machining operations by ensuring tooling stock is replenished?

If so, we have a role available for a Tooling Stores Controller to work in a precision engineering business who are leading specialists in the manufacturing of precision-engineered components.

Due to keeping up with their existing workload, our client is looking for a Tooling Stores Controller to join their team on a Permanent basis.

The role is ideally suited for someone who has previous tooling experience or has worked on CNC Machines so has an understanding of what is needed for them to operate.

In this role as a Tooling Stores Controller, you will support the shop floor machining functions by ensuring the parts such as holding fixtures, tool holders, cutting tools, tool inserts, gear cutters, tips, drill bits, end mills, face mills, fly cutters, thread mills, reamers etc are in place ready for the machining process to be carried out.

You will be ensuring that tooling suppliers meet expectations and that all relevant tooling documentation is captured and recorded correctly.

You will be required to perform Health and Safety checks to ensure safe storage of tooling and correct handling of parts and equipment.

39 hours per week

The location is easily commutable from Derby, Burton, Mansfield, Chesterfield and surrounding areas

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:

Experience of working in tool stores, tooling controller, goods in, stock replenishment, CNC machining, toolmaking and other similar roles within manufacturing
Background within precision engineering
Aerospace, MOD, Nuclear, Motorsport etc
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage project tasks
Ability to maintain tooling logs and keep database updated
Strong attention to detail
