We work with adults worried about their own sexual thoughts, feelings or behaviour towards children; adults worried about another adultor young person; young people themselves; and with protective adults and professionals.


About you:

You will be an energetic professional who is proactive and outcome focused with exceptional communication and relationship skills.

You will be able to evidence a successful track record of working with individuals and families impacted by child sexual abuse.

You will be able to demonstrate confidence in translating the Foundation's mission into direct child protection practice and equipping other professionals in tackling child sexual abuse.


About the role:

We are recruiting skilled and experienced professional practitioners to join our multi-disciplinary, innovative team.

You will carry out assessments and interventions for local authorities in cases where sexual abuse is known or suspected, provide adviceto our Stop It Now helpline and deliver training to other professionals as well as contributing to wider service developments within the Foundation.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • To undertake assessment and intervention work with adult offenders and nonoffending partners where appropriate
  • To undertake direct therapeutic work with offenders and their families
  • To provide clinical consultation or training to other professionals and agencies
  • To provide confidential advice and information to callers to the Stop It Now helpline
  • To be involved in the development of the Foundation's work with offenders, nonoffending partners and their families
  • To contribute to the development and delivery of individual and group work programmes/intervention
  • To contribute to the Foundation's development of its integrated approach to child sexual abuse

Experience and skills:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience of direct therapeutic work, intervening with alleged and convicted offenders and nonoffending partners
  • Significant practice experience working with perpetrators of child sexual abuse and/or their victims and protective adults
  • A thorough up to date understanding of child sexual abuse /sex offending, latest sector research and the range of interventions available
  • Extensive experience of assessing and delivering interventions for individuals who have engaged in child sexual abuse, their victims and protective adults
  • Extensive experience of reducing the risk and impact of child sexual abuse through coordinated responses with individuals, family members and other professionals
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to adapt delivery to a variety of audiences
