Description

Are you a friendly, welcoming person who enjoys meeting people but can organise a team? We are looking for a duty manager to assist us with breakfast supervision and the organisation of the housekeeping department.


General

  • To ensure a warm friendly welcome to all visitors at all times and demonstrates excellent customer service.
  • To show a professional attitude at all times, particularly with regard to punctuality, appearance and general manner.
  • To be an organised and approachable team supervisor.

Operational Front of House

  • To be responsible for breakfast service as the duty manager.
  • To be able to confidently advise guests in the selection of food and beverage available at breakfast and at Lunch. To ensure menus are correct and printed professionally.
  • To take and advise the kitchen of reservations and bookings and any special requirements.
  • To prepare the restaurant for service for lunch and dinner.
  • To keep the still room and the kitchen service areas clean and well organized.
  • To assist in the preparation, set up and management of functions & weddings.
  • To be ablet to assist with dinner service, on occasion, if required.
  • To ensure weekly & daily checklists are printed at the start of each week

Operational Housekeeping

  • To manage and oversee the housekeeping daily check sheets to ensure maximum efficiency within the allocated time frame.
  • To assist the Reception Manager ordering for the housekeeping department including cleaning equipment, in room toiletries and equipment, and other consumables such as tea, coffee and milk.
  • To manage the hotels laundry service

Administrative

  • Assist the Reception Manager as required when on duty
  • Ensuring new reservations are processed correctly.

Team management
To ensure team members are fully briefed before service and they are aware of the day's events.

  • To ensure team members are working professional and efficiently at all times.
  • To ensure team members are being productive with tasks are being assigned within a specific time frame.
  • To assist the hotel owners with any induction process for all new housekeeping team members to ensure that they trained on room cleaning standards.
