A FTSE 100 Insurance Company with an office based in Birmingham is recruiting a Senior Accountant to join our Finance Operations with a view to managing a reconciliation team of 12.

You will be required to lead, develop and mentor others to maximise theircontribution and ensure high motivation levels.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead a team of Accountants and Analysts
  • Manage the processes to identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Manage the team to ensure all data is prepared and reported in accordance with relevant reporting standards and business reporting requirements
  • Manage the process in influencing decisions across the organisation teams where priorities and interests are often conflicting.
  • Communicate complex accounting procedures and principles with multiple stakeholders across the business both in the UK and potentially globally
  • Manage a range of senior stakeholders across the business
  • Provide technical leadership to less experienced or non accountancy qualified employees within the wider team
  • Acts as an escalation point for resolution of issues or decisions for assigned deliverables

Experience and attributes required:


  • Qualified Accountant with PQE experience
