A local Marine business, embarking on an impressive growth plan, is recruiting a Management Accountant based in Southampton. The role requires an individual with commercial drive and investigative thinking.

As Management Accountant you will gain the opportunityto increase the Finance capability of this growing business, whilst working in close alignment with the Financial Controller.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Responsible for preparing accurate management accounts
Reviewing historic journals
Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
Build and develop accurate management information, in turn sharing with the wider business
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
Comparison of all P&L accounts to budget, providing explanations of variances and trend analysis
Preparation for the year end audit and being key point of contact for external auditors
Respond timely to ad hoc business requests as required

What you will need:
Experience in job roles such as; Management Accountant / Finance Manager / Financial Manager / Finance Controller / FC / Financial Controller / Financial Accountant / Finance Analyst / Financial Analyst / FP&A / Financial Planning & Analysis
Excellent attention to detail
Problem solving mindset
Strong analytic skills
Strong Financial Accounting ability
