Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and ambitious Treasury Finance Manager to join a Tier 2 investment bank in the City.
This position is within the Global Short-Term Funding (GSTF) International Finance team which provides management accounting and product control support for the Treasury desks of the bank's international branches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the production of daily P&L and operation of Treasury Finance controls for the London, New York and Amsterdam offices
- Be a first point of contact to support the Front Office on queries relating to other Treasury related metrics including but not limited to Liquidity reporting, Transfer Pricing and Hedge Accounting
- Produce regular insights and analysis into the macroeconomic environment, Treasury positioning and P&L outcomes
- Support the project pipeline and be a champion of the continuous improvement agenda for the Offshore Treasury Finance team
- Be a trusted advisor and key interface between the Offshore Treasury Front Office, Business Units, Group Finance and Risk teams
- Manage the pipeline of Treasury Finance management reporting deliverables and operational improvement initiatives
- Seek customer feedback, address issues in the context of continual process improvement and provide a high level of customer service
- Stakeholder Management build and maintain productive relationships with the key stakeholders across the Group
- Team Development share knowledge with other team members to support continued development, strengthen team engagement and build a team with wellrounded knowledge.
- Statutory Reporting support role in Treasury's half year and year end statutory reporting processes
- Project Initiation and Support work closely with Line 1 Risk and Business Change teams to initiate and participate in projects driving valuation changes. Support key ongoing transformation and continuous improvement projects
- Continuous Process Improvement drive a culture of continuous improvement to streamline and optimise existing processes. Seek to enhance analytics around balance sheet and P&L
- Change Control ensure continuity of delivery from automation solutions through a thorough change control process.
Essential Skillset:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior Product Control role, preferable supporting a Treasury function
- Extensive experience of Daily Performance Analysis ongoing production and substantiation of daily P&L's and attribution analysis of day 1 P&L, cancel and amends and P&L Estimate versus Actuals variances
- Knowledge of Liquidity Reporting, Transfer Pricing and/or Hedge Accounting
- Proven track record in project/continuous improvement delivery
- Proven strong communicator and ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders
- Strong prioritisation skills, with demonstrable experience managing and balancing priorities
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements effectively
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Professional Qualifications in Accounting (eg, ACA, FCA) or related Finance field (eg, CFA).
