The Role


We are looking for a talented and ambitious individual who demonstrate the attributes that are fundamental to becoming a successful surveyor.

We are looking for an individual to join the London Commercial Valuation team based out of our 5 Aldermanbury Square UK Headquarters office.


As an apprentice, you would be enrolled in Apprentice Programme training and will be provided with support and guidance to become a qualified Chartered Surveyor with the RICS.


If you have not yet obtained a degree you will be enrolled onto the Level 6 RICS Surveyor Apprenticeship, which takes approximately 5 years to complete.

Through this route you will obtain a BSc Real Estate degree and full Chartered Surveyor status.


If you already have a degree you will be enrolled onto the Level 7 RICS Surveyor Apprenticeship, which takes approximately 2.5years to complete.

Via this route you will obtain an MSc Real Estate degree and full Chartered Surveyor status.


The role will be primarily within the London Commercial Valuation team, where you will be involved in projects and transactions for the Team's broad range of clients.

You will also have opportunities to experience in other parts of our Commercial team in order to provide you with relevant experience.

Equally, we will support you with time off to study throughout the apprenticeship programme.

  • You will also be assigned a Buddy, Supervisor and Counsellor upon joining.

Training and development

  • Full APC training via apprenticeship training provider, and continued support from the business;
  • Pre-APC mock interviews/presentation training and seminars;
  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD) lectures.

Roles and responsibilities

Main Accountabilities

  • To work on day to day tasks as set by line manager and APC supervisor within the London Commercial Valuation Team;
  • To take responsibility for work and projects as appropriate to the team;
  • To liaise with APC supervisor and counsellor on a regular basis to discuss progress towards the APC;
  • First class ability to prioritise and manage own workload.

Delivery to client

  • Primarily involved in the production of secured lending valuation reports and requisite analysis
  • Relevant understanding of business/departmental context;
  • Accuracy and quality of reporting to clients;
  • Is responsive to the needs of the client and looks for ways to improve products and services.

Clients and Business Development

  • Proactive in building relationships with internal and external service providers and responsive and helpful to external clients.
  • Relevant understanding of business/departmental context.
  • Accuracy and quality of reporting to clients.
  • Has a small network of internal and external contacts, and willingness to extend.

Key skills/competencies

  • Competent using all Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
  • Interpersonal skills confident communicators with the ability to express opinions clearly and convincingly;
  • Achievement/determination strong track record of academic and personal achievement
  • Motivated and committed to a career within Surveying;
  • Analytical capability good problemsolving skills and logical approach.

Minimum Essential Qualifications

  • Have obtained 96 UCAS tariff points or an equivalent level through recognised qualifications
  • Have GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent qualification.

Desirable Experience

  • Property work experience.
