Job summary:

  • We're an increasingly datadriven organisation, where information is at the heart of everything we do. As a Knowledge and Information Specialist, you'll maximise the impact of our data and make active contributions to our mission. Working with a range of unique, interesting, and unusual information, you'll help us put data at the forefront of our business outcomes and inform key decisionmaking.

Job description:

  • You'll help implement best practice and support the development of our community. This is a customerfacing role where you'll provide advice and guidance on a range of different requirements while helping to shape your team's approach. You'll engage with others across the business and ensure wider compliance and standards.
  • You'll represent the Data and Information Department and its aims. You'll likely complete your first role in a central team focusing on data, information or records management, to give you an understanding of our objectives.
  • You'll join a team within the Data Office but will have the opportunity to later take on posts in different areas of the organisation. This office is responsible for records management, data management, information and knowledge management, policy, and data governance. There may also be line management opportunities, depending on the posting.
  • You'll have a key role in enabling digital transformation. You'll remain adaptable to technological changes, which could include overseeing a range of systems and ensuring developments in information management tools are implemented. There may also be opportunities to contribute to the design and delivery of training packages.

Person specification:

  • You may have a qualification in a data/information/records management or data governance role or a minimum of two years relevant experience in data, information, or records management.
In short, you'll have a head for data but not data science:
you might have worked with an electronic document and records management system, developed information policies, or been involved with archiving and knowledge management
-
Benefits:
  • You'll receive a starting salary of £34,414 plus other benefits including:
  • 25 Days Annual Leave automatically rising to 30 days after 5 years' service, and an additional 10.5 days public and privilege holidays
  • Opportunities to be recognised through our employee performance scheme
  • Interestfree season ticket loan
  • Excellent pension scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Facilities such as a gym, restaurant and onsite coffee bars (at some locations)
  • Paid parental and adoption leave.
