To lead by example, allocation & oversight of all Ramp, Presentation & De-Icing operations.

Ensuring rigorous standards of Health & Safety and delivering consistent high performance within the constraints of service level agreements ensuring professionalism & communication is upheld throughout.

Maintain control and accountability for the operation on a shift basis.

  • Plan resource & equipment to ensure all Ramp, BHU, Presentation & De-Ice tasks are covered
  • Fully manage allocation of tasks and duties for all airside operatives (Ramp, BHU, Presentation & De-Icing nonexhaustive)
  • Manage & utilise effective measurement systems to monitor the performance of your team (Work Bridge, RSMS, SMART, Mobilize, Avtura, iAirport nonexhaustive)
  • Ensure all people management processes are carried out in line with current company policy
  • Ensure communications within the departments & operation are effective and consistent
  • Effectively handle and resolve operational enquiries that are escalated to you
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are in good condition and defects are reporting in a timely manner
  • Ensure appropriate and accurate reporting of all accidents and incidents incurred whilst on duty via MORSE and as per company policy
  • Ensure that all staff fully understand that safety is the number one priority for the company
  • Create and sustain a safe working environment and culture. Ensure all staff comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and revisions
  • Continually challenge existing practices to create improvements in all areas
  • Deliver regular team briefings & Complete; RTW, investigations & other people management tasks as requested, alongside the Duty Manager(s)
  • Ensure that all staff are fully trained in line with our Airline operating procedures and comply with directives set by both DfT and CAA
  • Full UK driving license
  • Ensure that all staff are fully updated and informed of all operational issues, company updates and station operational notices
  • Communicate with relevant departments, airlines and airport authorities on all operational related issues
  • Manage & communicate any day to day operational incidents
  • To ensure continuous reduction in overtime costs
  • Undertake audits within all areas of the operation as requested
  • Undertake outside operational duties as requested
  • Any other reasonable duty as requested

  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
  • Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
  • Engage with MORSE and follow our code principles.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Supervisory & Allocation experience
  • Ability to utilise planned resource to the full benefit of the operation
  • Possess excellent supervisory, leadership, communication and people skills
  • Ability to drive through policies and procedures and represent the Company in a professional manner at all times
  • A good working knowledge of ground handling related procedures for Airlines and Airport Authorities
  • Ability to communicate successfully at all levels, whilst leading and motivating a growing workforce
  • A track record of delivering against key performance targets
  • Knowledge and competency of Microsoft Packages e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must be flexible
  • Be able to demonstrate effective time management
