The Role


We are seeking a talented individual to join our highly successful global company as
UK Services Team Leader based in Seascale.


The primary purpose of this exciting career opportunity is to provide technical knowledge, field service and to lead our Seascale Service team to enhance localised customer and business support.

The
UK
Services Team Leader will provide expert radiological protection instruments (RPI), Non-Destructive Assay and spectroscopy equipment services.

The work will involve remote technical support and carrying out customer visits to complete installation, commissioning, calibration, routine testing and repairs.


Critical to this role is the leading, advising and supporting of our team of Service Engineers with scheduling, planning, HR and QHSE knowledge.

This role will be based in Seascale to enable critical attendance to our customers in that area.

However, the post is a UK wide Field Based position and travel to various sites (UK and occasionally abroad) will be require.

The
UK Services Team Leader belongs to the Industrial Division, EMEA and APAC reporting to the UK Services Director.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the
UK Services Team Leader include, but are not limited to:

  • Support to the UK Services Director
  • Local planning, scheduling and management of the assigned team.
  • Field Service, Technical Support, troubleshooting to support our customers,
  • Inspection, calibration, test and repair of nuclear related electronic assemblies.
  • Liaise at all levels and promote the services of the company's service & support activities.
  • Maintain accurate records where necessary to comply with the requirements of the company's QHSE registrations.
  • Ability to work unsupervised or as part of either a small team or a multi disciplinary team.
  • Able to deal with and understand technically complex problems.

The Person
The key skills and qualities of the
UK Services Team Leader are:

  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship with a minimum ONC Electronics, or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Working knowledge of radiation measurement techniques and instruments, including gamma spectroscopy an advantage but training will be provided.
  • Experience of working on nuclear licensed sites, Sellafield, EDF, MAGNOX, Dounreay would be an advantage.
  • Essential to be British or EU passport holder as security clearance will be required for this post.
  • English speaker
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Potential for undergoing security vetting to DV level.
  • Good organisational skills.
