Description

Working for this successful contract in the construction sector, you will take control of the full buying and cost control function for the business - this is a new position within the business taking the responsibility off one of the Directors.

It's a full time position that could be a 80/20 split between working from home / from the office in Stoke.

You'll need to be proficient in Xero, SAP, or similar systems for procurement and inventory management and will need a strong understanding and knowledge of buying in the plumbing & heating industry.

Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize procurement activities
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and delivery terms
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify costsaving opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise
Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess stock
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management
