About the role
This is an exciting new role as a Policy Officer (Post-Diagnostic Support) at Dementia UK, where you will play a crucial role in driving our long-term policy and influencing strategy in alignment with our strategic plan.
As a member of our dedicated Policy, Campaigns, and Public Affairs team, you will act as a lead on areas of public policy that affect structures of post diagnostic support for people living dementia, their carers and loved ones.
You will play a pivotal role in advocating for improvements to legislation, public policies, and statutory services on behalf of individuals affected by dementia in the UK.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring and analysing policy developments while establishing external relationships to bolster policy initiatives and enhance Dementia UK's prospects of effecting policy change.
Working closely with the Insights and Evaluation team, Research team, and the broader Clinical Directorate, you will conduct and interpret both qualitative and quantitative research.
Your findings will inform the creation of comprehensive public policy documents, reports, briefings, and consultation responses on behalf of the organisation.
