About The Role:


Do you want to make a difference to the lives of children, young people and their families across Warwickshire? If so, then we need your help to deliver our highly regarded School Nursing Service.

We are seeking three motivated and solution-focused Family Brief Intervention Workers to join our dynamic and innovative team. We have the flexibility for you to work part/full time.

Connect for Health is a school nurse-led service that supports children, young people and their families in Warwickshire.

We deliver key elements of the Healthy Child programme, working to identify and meet the health and wellbeing needs of the school-aged population.

We aim to give individuals the best start in life and reduce health inequalities.


The Family Brief Intervention Worker role is varied and includes the provision of age-appropriate information and advice to children, young people and families.

You will deliver a range of Public Health interventions to support children's health and wellbeing. Interventions could be delivered on an individual or group basis and are evidence based.


The FBIW role engages with partner agencies to support parent/carers through the Early Help pathway adopting a child centred positive approach.

You will make onward referrals where necessary, liaising with a broad range of health professionals to ensure the right support is provided to the child and family.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of the role and a high standard of record keeping is required.


About You:


  • You will have experience of working with children, young people and families and knowledge of relevant health promotion issues. You must possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships, as well as being adept at maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times.
You must possess a full driving licence, be able to travel and have access to your own transport.
