We are recruiting to a Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

We are a tertiary referral centre providing a service to the East Midlands for complex respiratory conditions.

We provide a comprehensive service focusing on delivering patient and family centred care to a high standard for the children and young people of the region.

We have a strong ethos of collaborative multidisciplinary team work.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities


We offer the following services:

  • Specialist cystic fibrosis centre which provides a hub for a shared care network throughout Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire.
  • Longterm ventilation service which supports children, young people and their families across the region (Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Staffordshire) whose longterm and complex health problems mean that they need mechanical ventilation (both noninvasive and tracheostomy).
  • Paediatric bronchoscopy service for Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
  • Specialist clinics for children with difficult asthma and rare lung disease.
  • Service for babies with bronchopulmonary dysplasia.
  • Paediatric tuberculosis service.
  • Supra regional cleft lip and palate service for young infants.
  • Preoperative assessment for children undergoing spinal surgery.
  • Joint respiratory clinics are held with ENT, Immunology, Rheumatology and Surgery.
  • International clinic for children with Ataxia Telangiectasia.

Training and qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Eligible for GMC registration
  • MRCP or MRCPCH or equivalent
  • Entitled to work in the UK
Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience of working in a multidisciplinary team
Experience

Essential criteria

  • Previous experience in Paediatrics, including emergencies and safeguarding.
  • APLS (or equivalent) and safeguarding training.
Desirable criteria

  • Experience of audit and research.
  • Experience in teaching/ training.
Communication and relationship skills

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
